20: Far Infrared Saunas
Transcript of Episode 20: Far Infrared Saunas
With Dr. Daniel Pompa, D.PSc., Warren Phillips, David Asarnow and special guests Robby Besner and Merily Pompa.
Warren: Hello, everybody. Welcome to Cellular Healing TV. I welcome you here this Friday morning. We are broadcasting live in my office today, my home office this morning. I have Dr. Pompa on as our health expert, and a special guest, an inventor and innovator, a world changer. I got to know this man over the last several weeks, and I’m really impressed with, mostly, his heart. We’re going to hear a little bit about his story, but the CEO of Therasage, Robbie Besner. We’re really excited. Really why we brought Robbie on this call is Dr. Pompa and I have been on this lifelong, if you will, last ten years, trying to find a really good far infrared unit. I know a lot of our viewers understand that far infrared does stimulate a lot of action at the cellular level. Dr. Pompa uses far infrared and far infrared wavelengths for healing with his patients. It’s one of those modalities that really make an impact and difference, and there’s a lot of great science behind it. It just makes that difference, especially in some of Dr. Pompa’s sensitive patients. We ran to Robbie fortuitously through one of Dr. Pompa’s patients. We’ve been getting lots of recommendations on far infrared saunas. There’s some decent ones out there, but when one of our patients, I think it was Stacey, brought this to our attention, and ironically, another patient brought the same product to our attention that was very chemically sensitive and was seeing great results, we had to take a look at it. Got on the phone with Robbie, and several weeks later, here we are. If you look behind Dr. Pompa—say hello, Dr. Pompa. You’ve got to talk.
Dr. Pompa: Yeah, right here, off to my right is the actual unit. Warren, I always put you on these tasks. Here’s some of the qualifications we’re looking for, and we need to find the best infrared sauna. I was often recommending them, obviously, to many of my patients, just to assist the detox process. They always asked me the questions, “Which one do you use, Dr. Pompa? Which one should I get?” I always said, “Well, I’m still looking into that.” There was a transition that we did. I have used, in the past, some of the far infrared saunas, a very nontoxic wood. We ran into some problems with some of our patients. Their own toxins would get into that sauna. Although the sauna itself was less toxic, and some of them did without glue, and they made them far less toxic to the patient, there still was two problems. There was still an EMF component, which we’ll let Rob talk about, and also, they started sweating toxins into the wood. Their best effort of trying to keep even their own vapor that came off of them—so I know they used tiles, and we have them using tiles, but after a while, they started reacting to their own sauna. These don’t have that problem, because they can easily be cleaned, wiped out. Anyways, long story short, we end up with these far infrared saunas, and we believe they’re the best. We’ll let Rob explain why it’s different. There’s some unique qualities to this. Number one for our patients, we’re concerned about no EMF, or very little, if any. Probably get more on your telephone, but I’ll let Rob speak to that. Anyways, the bottom line is it’s the lowest in EMF. Lowest in the toxicity, as far as being able to clean it even makes a big difference. Rob, we asked you the question. Warren sought this out. My patients found that they love this one. They said, “Dr. Pompa, we found one that doesn’t make me crazy with the EMFs.” They found your sauna, and of course we looked at it. Warren looked at it, I looked at it, and we loved it. What makes it so darn unique.
Rob: There’s basically four main features that we try to put into all of our infrared products. There’s a few main unique, differentiating factors with this portable sauna. First off, like you mentioned earlier, the EMF is, as it is, it’s a frequency that is basically invisible for the body to sense. We started doing research about seven years on the effects of EMF of the body. Effectively, your body has to work to try to keep the EMF out. When the EMF is present in an electronic device, it doesn’t allow all the healing powers of the infrared frequencies to come in and permeate and get as deep as they need to be, in order for really to do the therapies. When we became aware of it, we simply put a lot of money into research on the matter. We started insulating the wires. We put special shielding, and we came up with a device that virtually has no EMF, and it’s rated number one on the market for that reason.
Dr. Pompa: Yeah, no doubt about it. The patients that I treat, Rob, they have to have that. It’s always been a challenge. I love the fact that it’s easy to clean. The areas where you would sweat a little bit more of that. There’s something else pretty unique about it. That’s that you put some ideas into it to really give off some negative ions, which we know, actually, is something else that stimulates healing.
Warren: Before we get into that, Rob, I just want to make sure. Dr. Pompa did promise his new weight loss and detox protocol, and I made sure he has all the equipment there to show you guys. We are getting into the details of the sauna, because I think that’s very important to share. Especially Robbie taking his time this morning with us. Just hold on, we’re going to get there. We’re just going through, being respectful of Robbie’s time, and really getting out some of the information that we wouldn’t be able to share with you, so Robbie so graciously joined us this morning. Just continue, Robbie. Sorry for that interruption.
Rob: No worry. Thank you, Warren. What we discovered, also, a little bit longer ago, is that some stones have certain healing properties to them. We also discovered that there’s a very strong beneficial, synergistic effect when you combine certain therapies together, certain energies together. We found a particular type of tourmaline stone, and what we’ve done is we’ve peppered the four panels around you that basically generate the infrared frequency, we’ve peppered them with inch and a corner round tourmaline stones. There’s 32 per panel, so approximately 128 stones that are in each of the saunas. These generate negative ions, which, in nature, a negative ion occurs when running water basically moves over land. That friction creates a free electron, and the body absorbs that almost like a sponge. What happens to you is that it creates better cellular communication. It actually will help to restructure the water inside the body, so it makes the body much more healthy. When you combine infrared frequency and negative ion together, it’s just an amazing combination to create a healing event. The tourmaline in our sauna comes from a very particular area. It generates about 1000 times more negative ion that occur in natural air. It’s quite a great healing device. Can you see, guys the panels in there? Can you see that at all? Let me point them out. It’s these, and they’re surrounded in here. Warren, can they see that?
Warren: I can see the red.
Rob: Okay, yeah. It’s these stones that are right here that he’s talking about. I hope that came across, because it is unique.
Warren: Robbie, the other difference, it seems, is that you have far infrared—or you have different wavelengths than far infrared, but paneling versus the box. I’ve never even asked you that question. What’s the difference between the panels versus a little emission box. You still have a box, but it’s on the backside. How does that work?
Rob: The box in the back is actually the power handling. One of the things that we do do for any of the patients that are looking to try to pull out heavy metals, one of the directions we look for is to have the sauna cabin itself a little bit more elevated temperature. Generally, we have those patients, or patients that are fighting chronic diseases like Lyme Disease or Fibromyalgia, something like that, we try to raise the core temperature up. The cabin, as it is, with an ambient air in the room of about 74 degrees, will get up to about 140 degrees Fahrenheit. With this little extra accessory, Warren, you can actually raise the cabin temperature another 20 degrees. For the chronic patient, we really want to have that little hotter environment. Of course, with the doctor’s advice, we step them into it. You just don’t plunge them into high temperature, long times right away. They have to build and work their selves into it. Generally speaking, for just general detox, for weight loss and so forth, the sauna as it is out of the box is complete and terrific.
Dr. Pompa: I’d like you to really briefly—how did you get into this, right? You have a great story, like I have a great story, with your daughter. You might want to just tell a little bit about that. It’s our stories that always drive us to find the best. It’s our stories that always drive us to really seek out new technology because we have to. Tell that story.
Rob: About 15 years ago, we discovered that my daughter had contracted Lyme Disease. My wife and I always practiced natural healing as a family, and as soon as we found out, we panicked, of course. We looked around and saw what the protocols that were available. Even today, the CDC hasn’t come up with an official protocol for Lyme. We were, like many families that have been stricken with this, at a loss. They don’t know what to do. We were searching for the best method. That being said, at the end of the day, when the smoke settled, my wife and I realized that no matter which road we went down, we would still be faced with a real challenge. That was, if we were effective in killing the Lyme, the co-infections and all the other little bugs that travel with the Lyme, my daughter would still have the challenge of getting the dead disease out of her body. Also with Lyme, it generates a neurotoxin. Those, of course, are toxins. As many people that suffer with chronic ailments, they sometimes suffer more from the toxic levels of their bodies than actually the underlying disease. We were hunting and searching for the best method to help my daughter detox efficiently. Of course, there’s invasive IV chelations and chemically-driven chelations, but we kept on being driven back to infrared frequency. The far frequencies are just amazing, and the bioresonance that in infrared frequency creates in the body actually, on a cellular level, starts to purge all toxins that you have. We were searching for the best technology we could buy, and we realized that there wasn’t really a lot available 15 years ago. As an entrepreneur, it suggests an opportunity, but as a family member, I was just searching for the best product I could get. That brought us to starting to develop some of our own, for our own personal applications, which was why we started our company. Not realizing that as things moved forward over time, the world would become more toxic, people would become more aware of their need to detox. Therasage turned into a company that really serves the people for their and wellness, the long-term plan.
Warren: Far infrared, I remember telling you this story that your daughter, you actually brought her by the ocean to get the negative ions. The story was rough. Like you said, you almost lost your daughter in this battle. This stuff’s birthed out pain and purpose, for real.
Rob: Right. Five years ago, Warren, I said to my wife, “She may not even last another week.” She lost about 40 percent of her body weight. She was emaciated. Almost like she lost her will, which is very, very hard for a parent to see. Mostly, for a young child to have that experience—I think as a parent, you’d always like to take the bullet for your kid. For us, the whole process was so painful. Then we had this day, was the tipping point day. I just looked at her and I said, “You want to live. Just tell me you want to live, and we’ll get through this together.” She said, “Dad, I want to live.” I said, “Okay, this is the plan.” One of them was, we’re fortunate, we live near the ocean down in South Florida, so my wife and I grabbed a little apartment, efficiency, right by the water. I said “Julia, get up. You need to walk about 20 minutes to 30 minutes every day, on the ocean.” I wanted to get the minerals that come off the ocean that’s in the spray, and mostly, I wanted her to get the negative ions that come off the oceanfront when the wave hits the sand. It’s the same effect that you’d get from a waterfall. It creates that negative ion in the air. Her body soaks that up, and then it creates a great climate inside. Then I said, “You need to do the infrared sauna at least an hour every morning.” Basically, over the last four and a half to five years, she’s been slowly crawling back, nursing back. Today, she’s vibrant. She makes a contribution. She more or less lives symptom free, and she’s on top of her game. It’s great to see it, really great.
Dr. Pompa: This sauna, it’s such a great—the infrared sauna, it’s such a great tool to detox, to assist detox. The skin is such a natural way of getting rid of toxins. The patients that I deal with, Rob, they’re so blocked up. Their detox pathways get so limited between their liver—we’re going to talk a little bit about that, their kidneys and their gut. To have the skin, it’s such a great thing. Like I said before, you probably don’t know this. Some people may not even be familiar with this type, but your head sticks out of it. Once again, you’re not breathing your own toxicity. That really became a problem with—
Warren: Get in there, Dr. Pompa. I want to see what you look like inside there.
Dr. Pompa: You’re right, I should put someone in there. A lot of people aren’t familiar with this. When I’m saying, breathing your own tox—when you’re in your own sauna—
Warren: I’ll text Daniel.
Dr. Pompa: Yeah, tell him to come up. Tell him to bring the X-Factor butter oil, because I want to show how that fat can be added, as well. Tell him it’s in the refrigerator.
Warren: I love that.
Dr. Pompa: Anyways, a lot of people, they’re not familiar with this, Rob. They think of a sauna as the one you get in. They pay a lot more money for those. The better saunas like that are $3000-$5,000, right?
Dr. Pompa: Again, they may pay top dollar for the least toxic one on the market, but the problem is, they are so toxic, they’re breathing their own vapor. Literally, every time they’re in it, they’re breathing their own waste in it, we find that they actually got more sick. This, your head is actually sticking out of. The thing that you sweat in, you can wash real easy, clean, so you’re not getting exposed that way.
Rob: Yeah, each of the saunas comes with an extra collar, so you can be washing one while you’re wearing one. Aside from your head being out for the point you just made, the brain is much more sensitive to temperature than the full body, so having the brain outside, or having your head outside, you’re allowed to raise—we can actually hit the body with a lot more frequency and raise that core temperature up, really attacking the disease, without affecting the brain. There are people that feel a little confined in the cabins, where here, you’re head is out, so you’re enjoying the landscape of the room that you’re in. Then, we made these little convenient little zip out pockets, so you can put your hands through and hold your device, if you want, or your clicker to the TV, and just enjoy yourself, and have a little fun with it while you’re actually doing a great health—
Dr. Pompa: That was a deal breaker for my wife, or maker. In this case, it was the dealmaker, when she realized she could sit in there and actually stay on Facebook, because her little arms could come out of the little holes. That was it. My wife’s like ADD, right? To keep her or Warren in a place like that for 30 minutes—they’ll do it a couple times, then they stop. You throw a computer in front of either of them and they can work, and they’ll stay in there. Your compliance goes through the roof.
Warren: I was going to ask you Robbie, I get a lot of emails done while I’m in the unit. I hope that’s not bad for—I’m thinking EMF, I’m thinking—
Rob: No, no, no. You’ll get a little button for that, but for multi-taskers, this is the device that you’re looking for. Honestly, Dr. Pompa, we had a challenge. Initially, we were making wooden saunas. We still have a great factory here in the U.S. for that. What we found, and it happens with us when we’re developing and inventing new products, we make them and we think that we’re designing with every question that possibly could come up answered. Then we put it out to the public, and then we get feedback. We’re really active listeners. What we discovered is that there’s people who have the money, but don’t have the apartment space or the living space for a a unit, or, they don’t have the money and they have the space. We had to come up with something that had an answer to that. The portability of this—it basically folds down into a little pancake. You can get it under the bed, or in a closet. It uses 110 current. It actually draws about a third of the electricity of a hairdryer, one of those little curlers, so it’s very efficient in terms of power usage. It’s completely portable. It weighs 23 pounds.
Dr. Pompa: I want to go back to a really important point that you made. Another challenge that I get with the very, very sick clients that I have is, you said it. They don’t adapt to the heat. We need the heat, right? The heat actually can do amazing things in the body, because their immune system is so low. Yet, they can’t handle it. When the head is out, they’re able to handle that core, and raise that core temperature. It is so important, infections like Lyme Disease, really to beat down those co-infections and the Lyme, to raise that core temperature, in what it does for the immune system. but when you put that head in there, boy, they can’t take the heat. For days, they’re wiped out. A lot of it’s because they can’t handle it. When the head is out, they can. Head out, better for toxicity. Head out, better because they can handle that raised core temperature. It’s amazing. It really is an amazing unit. I want to talk a little bit about a simple way that I think the average person can use it. Oh good, I’m going to actually—here’s my wife. I’m going to stick her butt in there. Rob, meet my wife, Merily. Yep. I already told them the dealmaker for you was when you realized you could stick your arms out and stay on Facebook.
Merily: Oh, yeah, are you the spa guy?
Dr. Pompa: Yeah, he’s the guy who designed it. Go ahead and get in there.
Warren: Hop in there for us, Mer.
Dr. Pompa: She’s probably thinking to herself now—
Merily: I just got a manicure and a pedicure, so I’m going to be like this.
Dr. Pompa: Go on in there. We’ll show you, just for fun.
Warren: Don’t ruin that mani-pedi.
Merily: Oh, man. I’ve got too much to do to go back.
Dr. Pompa: Do you want me to move anything here? Can you see her?
Warren: Yeah, you’re good, Dan.
Dr. Pompa: The spas come with one of these -shows the item-. When they slide in, then you zip their little heads up, like that.
Merily: Watch my toes.
Dr. Pompa: Ah, the toes, the toes. Now, see. There we go. That’s what it actually looks like. Now, can you see that? That’s really what it looks like.
Rob: Direct frequency.
Dr. Pompa: It would probably be darn good for the dog, too.
Rob: We knew that our products were pet-friendly, but you guys have just redefined the whole process for us.
Dr. Pompa: Don’t you think she’s cute? My wife, I mean?
Rob: Yes, yes
Dr. Pompa: Right there. My dog’s sitting over there, jealous. I better watch myself. Okay, so you can actually get out of there. That’s actually cute. Can we take a picture of that? We’re going to take a little picture of that, because I doubt I’ll get them in there again, together. Then we’ll put that up on Facebook, just for fun. Go ahead and while I’m taking a picture, say some more things that people need to hear.
Rob: The other feature that I wanted to highlight was that we’re a full spectrum infrared. Basically, we’re covering all three segments of the infrared spectrum, that’s the near, the middle, and the far. The far is what everybody’s jazzed up about these days, because it’s the wavelength that penetrates between two to three inches into the body. The near frequency is used by aestheticians, plastic surgeons. It’s all that skin surface skin layer stuff that includes reduction in cellulite. It’ll help improve wrinkles. It’ll help improve wound care and scar tissuing, healing the scar tissue. Having the full spectrum captured in our devices really makes a big difference.
Dr. Pompa: Again, most saunas, I would say, Rob, are you right? They only hit, really, one of those lengths. Am I right?
Rob: Yeah, they look for the far because they’re looking for the deep-reaching frequency, and so they leave a lot on the table. I don’t quite understand all that, but I just figure if you’re paying your ticket for the movie, you might as well see the credits.
Warren: What happens with that, it became a marketing niche. I don’t know why I’m not showing up, but a marketing thing, because just like anything else—I’m trying to think of another one off the top of my head, but—gluten. Something else just came into the market like, and I forget what it was now, but it’s very similar. Far infrared is what markets and what the culture code, or what people are actually looking for. They no longer look at what’s best, they look at what sells. You start to lose some of that, trading the authenticity for what’s going to move off the shelves. I understand business, but I’m glad, Robbie, that you’re clear on that. I’ve never heard that before, but it makes so much sense to me. Why wouldn’t you want it all? What I hear is, there’s this marketing jargon out there that, “Ours is the best because it’s 99% far infrared, or 93% far infrared.” They start making these claims on how much far infrared, and I never understood why. It doesn’t make any sense to me, and what you say makes absolute sense. These other wavelengths in that spectrum, because the sun has them, right? Why are we avoiding them? That’s nuts.
Dr. Pompa: I think the more full spectrum that wavelength, the better and the healthier it is. People won’t buy that, but they’ll talk—if you have the near, you’re going to lose cellulite. That’s what they’re going to listen to, Rob.
Warren: Hit the button, right there.
Dr. Pompa: This one that just has the far, you mean I’m not going to get rid of my cellulite? Okay now we’ve got their attention, you see? Let’s talk about it from something really simple, I think that everybody can do. When I deal with clients, Rob, I’m dealing with some very, very sick and challenged patients, I have some much more complicated, much more in-depth reaching types of detox that I do. I will say this — My 5R’s. R1, if you don’t remove the source, you’ll never get anybody well. Your daughter would have never gotten well if you didn’t remove that source, right? Obviously the infrared sauna’s part of removing source. It can really assist any, even, of my clients in doing more deep detox. This is an amazing assist to any of them, because it starts to help things come out of the skin. Let’s talk about the average person out there that says, “Hey, I want to lose some weight. I want to lose cellulite. I want to detox. What can I do?” Something very simple. I’ll tell you something really effective. Warren, you can even chime in on this. Years ago, for many, many years now, we realized that the liver is really the lifeline, right? That’s the Chinese phrase there. Your liver’s your lifeline. Most people, even, that I treat, whether they’re just the average person or someone very challenged, their liver has made for challenges. The liver really is controlling digestion and how your body processes toxins. What we find, too, is people’s liver/gallbladder ends up being very jammed up. It really is loaded up with something called hepatic, meaning liver biliary sludge, meaning toxins to the bowel complex. People have trouble digesting fats, and yet they need fats to heal. People have trouble digesting, period, because they need this bile to dump into the small intestine. We have a way of cleaning out the liver/gallbladder together. What we do is something very simple. What we do is we have a product called Bind, which you’ve heard me talk about before. Bind is a third generation product. I don’t want to get into too much detail, Warren. I’ll save it more for another little video that we’re going to do on this detox. Bind was developed as a third generation product, to grab products in the intestines, so they don’t reabsorb back. When your body brings toxins to the liver, which it does, it binds them up to the bile, and it creates this hepatic, biliary sludge. The bile, then, is dumped in the intestines to digest fat. The body’s also designed to reabsorb the toxins in the lower intestine and bring them back. It’s designed to reabsorb the bile, I’m sorry, in the lower intestine, right, so it doesn’t have to remanufacture it. In that process, what happens is, is it brings the toxins with it. It’s utter intoxication that goes this, from the liver to the bile to the digestive system. From the digestive system, the bile’s meant to be reabsorbed to the liver, and it just goes like this. This product was meant to grab that bile complex with the toxins and pull it out of the body so you don’t auto-intoxicate. Here’s what we do. We take the Bind product, and we take it anywhere between 4 and 6 of these pills. The key is, is we want to dump the bile. 30 minutes later, we eat some dense fats. One of the fats I love to give is one to two tablespoons of coconut oil. This is a very good unrefined coconut oil. It is an amazing pure coconut oil, and it’s hand processed, and we carry that on our website. We dump this fat, and there’s another fat that I love to add in. If you did one tablespoon of this, we can do this X-Factor Butter Oil. Rob, you’ve probably heard of X-Factor Butter Oil, right? I have challenged digestions and actually take this product, and it heals. As a matter of fact, I have a very, very sick young man, 15 years old, with colitis. He’s basically able to eat about eight to ten foods. It was less than that before. When he started taking this product, he started forming new stools again. This poor boy had bloody stools, chronic frequency all day long. Literally couldn’t control his bowels. Imagine life like that. I get more and more kids with that problem. Every one of them end up on this oil. The X-Factor is something that Weston Price talked about as being very healing. The point is, is we combine these fats, one tablespoon of this, one tablespoon of this, thirty minutes after the Bind. What it does, then, is we’re forcing it out, and we’re forcing the bile out with these fats. Then this ends up binding it up. Then, we simply do a little bit of burst training. Takes 15 minutes. We could do it for a half hour if you like. That stimulates circulation. Then, right after you do that, you get in the sauna for 30 minutes. You could do an hour if you like. The whole process takes just a little over an hour, but it is extremely effective. I’ll go through it once again. We take the Bind, 4 to 6 of these, because when we eat this dense fat, what’s going to happen is it’s going to cause the bile to dump. With that comes the toxins, and they’re going to be bound up to the Bind. After we take the fats, we do some burst training, get our circulation going. Then we get into the sauna. I do recommend following up with pushing some glutathione afterwards. After you get out of the sauna, then you can take some of this GCEL, which raises intracellular glutathione. As a matter of fact, these two products are sold together or separate. It’s called Bind and GCEL, and it’s sold as a unit called IDS, the Intracellular Detox System. You can read more about the both of those in article R1. I’ll have Warren explain where you can get that, under “articles” on my website. They can be bought separately or together as IDS. It’s pretty simple. Just taking some fat, Bind, take the fat, exercise, sauna. That simple. You’re not just getting the benefit of the sauna, you’re getting the benefit of dumping the liver/gallbladder complex. It’s a simple, simple combination that really works.
Warren: This is a great weight-loss protocol. Robbie, you probably have some testimonies of people. I’m going to turn you on. For some reason, it’s not automatically picking who should be on the camera here. I’m going to go to you. You probably have some—I haven’t done this, but I’ve heard it. I haven’t heard the testimonies myself, but I hear the—I guess not the rumors of it, the online whatever of folks doing far infrared and losing weight. This is a great weight-loss protocol. Explain why that happens a little bit. I know from our aspect, we see massive weight loss using the IDS system, using what Dr. Pompa just shared. If someone’s really toxic and that bile’s dumping, and when that bile dumps, those toxins get reabsorbed. Toxins get into your bloodstream, right? Causing what? Inflammation. Inflammation at the cellular level, decreasing hormone sensitivity. Hormone sensitivity means your body can’t burn fat for energy anymore, it means you have inflammation, it means your cellular energy’s lower, all kinds of negative side effects. They start doing this just breaking up those toxins, removing the source R1. The body starts to hormonally come back online. The weight starts coming off. It does work like magic for some people. It could be the very thing that’s stopping their weight loss.
Dr. Pompa: Could you go get an IDS box to show them how these come together? Then Rob, he’s explaining that.
Warren: I don’t have an IDS box here, because I take them out and throw them away.
Dr. Pompa: Explain a little bit about that, and I’ll just go get that.
Warren: Okay, so talk about that, Robbie.
Rob: Okay, so one of the inherent attributes of infrared frequency is that it’s a frequency that harmonizes at the same frequency as the water inside of us. It’s seamlessly penetrating through that insulating layer of fat under the skin that’s designed by the body to basically protect the inside from extreme heat or extreme cold. Now you have this frequency that’s penetrating easily into the body, and it’s seeking the densest parts of our body, Warren, which is the muscle mass or organ tissue. Now the tissues are being actually reclimatized by this frequency. The tissues soak it up like a sponge. Another attribute is that infrared frequency will actually be retained in the muscle. People that work out, they experience this term called after burn. Their metabolism is moving at a faster rate, even though they’re not on the treadmill anymore. That’s because their muscles are warmed up in the process of getting a little aerobic exercise or whatnot. That frequency that’s coming in is actually creating a biothermal in the muscle. Then that muscle’s getting warm. The muscles and the organs are the most vascular parts of our body. When the muscle or the organ’s warmed, and now the vessels around them are warmed, the thing that occurs is vasodilation. The vessels are dilating, creating more circulation, so that more circulation equals enhanced metabolic rate. You’re getting a rate and you’re actually burning calories. There’s big ranges here, and it really depends on the BMI of each individual body, but I would say conservatively, a 30 minute session in the sauna is going to burn anywhere between 300 and 400 calories. That’s pretty impressive. You lose body weight. Also, the infrared frequency, when it comes into the body, it actually creates the body to emit nitric oxide, which is also a vasodilator. To complement your aerobic workout, along with your protocol, you’re going to get an enhanced metabolic reaction from just the vasodilation occurring when you’re inside the sauna, from the infrared frequency by itself.
Dr. Pompa: I read a couple studies just showing with a combination of exercising before you go in an infrared sauna, it benefits both ways, recovery and the metabolic part. They’re win/win. Then we add the third component to it using—and this is the system here. It’s sold as IDS. Again, the GCEL raises intracellular glutathione, which is great for recovery and detox. Then the Bind is how I explained, we take the Bind, we take these dense fats—and these fats heal, by the way, so we’re dumping the liver/gallbladder complex too. We’re cleansing the liver and the bile, we’re doing the exercise component, raising up that metabolism, and then we’re getting the infrared sauna. Really, it’s that combination that when I was reading these things I said, “Wait a minute, this is the perfect combination. Dump the liver and the bile, exercise, stimulate the muscle, get those ATP going. By the way, negative ions and infrared ATP and then get into the infrared sauna. Then followed up by pushing some intracellular glutathione. That’s what this product does. It’s just step-by-step. Watch out for our video, because we’ll go through that in an article just a little bit more clear. Warren, where they can they find burst training? People are going to say, “What kind of training could I do that effective in 15 minutes? That video and article, they’re both on there. Two articles I think they need to read are one article about how the IDS system works. That whole thing is explained and the burst training article, obviously, to explain how to do it, because we don’t have time to explain that here.
Warren: Let me pull up your website. You’re just on my second screen. Robbie, you were telling me the other day, explain this while I pull this up, just to make sure I can find—I’m going to click on you. Put Robbie back on the screen.
Dr. Pompa: Another fact, Warren, then you have it there that I could match, for someone who has diabetes or cardiovascular issues, I would match the coconut oil with that CVO oil. It’s a cardiovascular oil. That’s another option. So we want a few combinations of fats. We want the benefit of the fat. We want certain fats that are going to dump that bile complex. You can combine this coconut oil with that CVO oil if you have diabetes or heart disease. If you have more gut challenges or immune challenges, I would go with this X-Factor oil. This with this, or that with that. We need the fats to dump the bile, and then there the Bind is to grab it and pull it out so you don’t reabsorb it. Really cool system. Very simple. Alright.
Warren: As far as on the website, if they go—and we’re actually launching a new website in a couple weeks for Dr. Pompa. I’ve been baiting him on that. It’s been long overdue. I really want to deliver some even easier ways to get real information. That’s what we’re about, Robbie, is delivering the truth, just like you. You could try to just mark it far infrared, but you mark it what you know people need, not what they necessarily want to hear. Right now, if you go to “articles,” go to DrPompa.com, DrPom—P-O-M, like the POM water, P-A like Pennsylvania and then scroll over to the far right. You click on “articles,” and then if you scroll down from there, you’ll find all the 5R articles talking about R1. At the top, there’s a little Google search, right at the top underneath home and all the tabs. If you just type in “burst” or “R1 burst training,” it’ll pop up right away. Burst workout, burst training workout. Every article Dr. Pompa has written on that will show up. “Could Exercising Be Making Your Diabetes Worse?” “Burst Training, Dr. Pompa,” “Burst Training: Our Secret To Anti-Aging #4,” which goes into burst training. There’s multiple burst training articles on the site, so there’s several that you could read through. They’re all very, very useful. The other nice thing is, if you even went to Google itself and you typed in “burst training,” we used to be on page one for burst training. Let’s see if we made it back there. We’re not on page one anymore, how about that? We’re on page two. Our video has over a half million views. That’s a great burst training video with Dr. Pompa’s wife. If you typed in “Pompa,” P-O-M-P-A, into Google, “Pompa burst training,” that will also get you there.
Dr. Pompa: How do they order—how much are these portable saunas? Rob, another benefit of this, I said that those wood saunas are $3,000 to $5,000, right? We sell this on our website, obviously, because Warren and I both have one. We only carry the things that we use and have. What’s the cost of this thing, and where do they get it?
Rob: Certainly they buy it from you, but it retails for $675 right now. First off, we don’t know any wooden saunas out there that actually combine the negative ion and the infrared full spectrum, currently. In our view, this little portable unit is really the healthiest. Aside from being affordable and fit in any room and office—if a practitioner wanted to convert his office into a detox station, he could do it in a minute, it’s extremely affordable. That’s another thing, in terms of core values with my company, We don’t understand why you have to charge more for products. This is a technology that everyone should have. It’s a natural event. We’re just combining natural sunlight frequencies and energies from waterfalls and putting it together, and finding that the body really responds very well. It also sets a climate, it actually reclimatizes the internal side of you, so that your body is more absorbent for nutrition. If you’re on a great eating diet and so forth, your ability to upload nutrition is enhanced. Certainly, the protocols you put together, I’m sure you’re going to find some really great results in combining all these things that could be greater than any one protocol by itself. That’s what we’re really hoping to do, is allow our technology to enhance the current values and health challenges that people have with these technologies.
Warren: I do really appreciate it about your unit, Robbie. I’ve seen a lot of other physicians having other units. Not to say that they don’t work or don’t make a difference, because far infrared is a healing frequency. The literature backs it up. It isn’t hokey science. It’s true, it’s real, and that’s why we share it. Units that are far less sleek, nice, and as comfortable and as well-made as yours, even in the portable infrared sauna world, sometimes are as high as $1,200, and they aren’t nearly as nice. I couldn’t believe the price on it, which made me happy, even though I could afford—especially when it comes to health, I’m limitless in my mindset. It was very affordable. I even bought some of your healing pads and full-body pads as well, that have tourmaline in them as well. Those are very helpful. We’ll do a show on those. Pretty similar technology, right, the pads and things that you share? Remember that one that you said that we’d fight over, my wife and I?
Warren: You were right, Robbie, I’m now upset about that, because we’ve had several fights over who gets the healing pad before bed.
Rob: Yeah, the latest one, the one that’s for the neck is just, it’s incredible. Of course, because I invent them, they’re like my children. Everyone has a personality, and I try not to favor my children, but ever since we brought this new one into the market, it’s less than six weeks old, I can’t stop using it. I use it every single night. I start with it behind my head, to relax my muscles, my neck and the stress between my shoulder blades. I wake up every morning and it’s on my chest. Somehow, in the middle of the night, I’m actually moving it from behind my head onto my chest, turning it back on again. I wake up, and it’s just having this warm, fuzzy, blue blanket around me. It’s just amazing. By the way, that one — The Perfect Pad uses tourmaline, where the other pads use natural jade stone. We really try to—these stones have energetics to themselves, Warren. It’s called physioelectric. Actually, when the earth combines, the pressure of the earth combines the various different elements that make these stones, that pressure is actually embedding an energetic in the stone itself. That communicates to the body through the infrared. It’s just great, really great.
Warren: Again, we’ll throw my geology out there again, but I do have a master’s degree in it. These rocks and minerals are formed at intense and very specific temperatures and pressures, to form certain rocks, like jade, tourmaline, these crystals. There’s a specific temperature and pressure that makes that, and all that temperature, heat pressure, very, very deep in the earth is bound up inside of that crystal. They are highly energized. When you activate it through a frequency, some of that’s released. Those rocks are not—they’re solid, but they’re still in massive motion. When you can release some of that energy, it can definitely have a healing effect. They’re different, they’re different frequencies.
Dr. Pompa: They’re giving off the infrared as well, plus the ions. Dr. Pompa, earlier I wanted to mention to you that one of the things that infrared frequency does is it breaks up the covalent bond between the acid toxin and the fat. As you know, most of the first area that, when the toxins come in or free radicals bind with your available fat. When the frequency comes in, it breaks that covalent bond. Now the toxin moves away. It actually drives the body towards being more alkaline, because it doesn’t have that acidic component anymore as it’s being driven out of the body. Actually, infrared frequency, the sauna will drive the body’s PH up towards more being alkaline, which we all know is a goal for us.
Dr. Pompa: By the way, something that I disagree with—I agree with what you’re saying, but I disagree that you can change body PH permanently with food you eat. Matter of fact, there’s at least six studies that I’ve read that show that it’s not true. A lot of people taking all these products to become more alkaline actually damage their gut, because the gut is made to be very acid. You actually need good bacteria. They thrive in an acidic environment. However, it’s toxicity that drives a chronic state of acidosis, so you’re right in what you’re saying. That’s really the safe way to bring yourself in a more alkaline state, not taking a lot of things to drive alkalinity daily, which, by the way, a lot of people do, whether it’s water, whether it’s pills, powders. You really want to change that state by changing what’s happening in your body permanently, and detoxing correctly is definitely one of them. Yeah, another benefit of the infrared sauna, for sure.
Warren: I’m sure if we talk to Robbie, there’s probably 20 more, because there is so much science and research behind it. We just keep coming up with more things. One of the other selling points, Robbie, that a lot of people tout—and it’s not real, because the very painful process that you went through is a true FDA certification. Most can’t do it, and most don’t, but they say that they have it and they don’t. You were right. I looked into a few of them. They’re saying that are, and they aren’t. How long did it take you to get that, and how did you go about getting that certification for your product?
Rob: We have a in-house compliance and regulatory department. We’re very mindful of the fact that infrared frequency is regulated by FDA. There are particular guidelines about the things we can say, in terms of health claims and so forth, along those lines. It takes many years. Each of our credentials took more than almost two to two and a half years, and a hell of a lot of sweat, equity, and money involved in getting these credentials. It pains me to think that people want to take the shortcuts and just bring these products into the marketplace right on our coattails, in a way. We’ve got a long-term plan, and ours is to stay in the business. Cutting corners by not being in compliance with the government doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to us. We take the time to make sure that our technology is trademarked, copyrighted, patented, our utilities are covered, and of course, that we’re in full compliance with the regulations of every country we get our products to. Certainly, more than 90% of the of the products we make are sold in the U.S., but we’re expanding outside the U.S. now. Some of our products even now, and you should know this for your viewership, is that we make multi-current applications. For the international traveler, they start to use this stuff more. You get a healing pad on your body and you’ve got chronic back pain. Now you want to use it every day, and you’ve got to go to Europe or you’re traveling internationally, it’s nice to know you can take the pad with you. We, again, try to—we develop something and then we source it and then we listen really intently, and then we adjust or recalibrate based on what we hear that the public really needs in these applications. It seems to be the right way to go.
Warren: Yeah, one thing about you Robbie, and I think that’s why we’re on this call and why you’re taking time things morning, and Dr. Pompa as well, is you’re authenticity, your heart. You found your true north, and you want to serve to make a difference. It’s really shining through in your products. I’m so glad we found you, so glad that we’re developing a relationship and a friendship and co-laboring here on the mission of seeing people’s lives transformed. You have a story, your daughter. Dr. Pompa and I both back to life, thanks to protocols and God bringing—like you said before the call, it just seems like God divinely inspired you to do a lot of the products that you have. They weren’t just by accident. They were divinely inspired. I know that our protocols, even this show, even this conversation, we believe is from God to the people listening, regardless of your belief system. That’s how we feel, and we want to share that part with the world. We appreciate everybody watching this with us this morning, taking time away, and maybe watching the recording. Thanks so much. Thanks for your time Robbie, Dr. Pompa. Have an amazing rest of your weekend. We’ll see you next week. We have another special guest next week. Dr. Pompa, I’m spacing, his name. I’ve got it. Scott Tipps. Scott Tipps.
Dr. Pompa: Amazing, amazing crusader. Wait until you hear that call, too. Rob, thank you, man. That was great information. I know people enjoyed it. Thank you.
Rob: My pleasure. Thank you so much for having me.
